Bungie has announced a new season for Destiny 2 called the Season of the Splicer.

You can check out the official release post from Bungie here.

The main focus of this season will revolve around the Vex and Mithrax. You and some friends can travel through simulations and communicate machines this time around to get your loot drops in.

Most importantly, however, it looks that Destiny 2 is finally introducing a transmog system. This is something that I have personally wanted in the game for so long, and I am sure it will be an absolute game-changer for those who are big on appearances.

It will be interesting to see how they handle unlocking (or not unlocking) and previously acquired gear.

The new season starts May 11th and runs until August 24th.

Check out the official trailer below.

Wrapping Up

This upcoming season has a great 80’s/retro vibe to it, and the theme that we see in the trailer looks to be a nice change of break from the usual Destiny 2 scenery. Will you be hopping back into Destiny 2 once the new season starts? Let us know in the comments.
