Recent datamined images have hinted toward a Deluxe Edition for World of Warcraft Classic’s The Burning Crusade expansion.
What is the Burning Crusade Classic Deluxe Edition?
The Burning Crusade Classic Deluxe Edition is allegedly a bundle that grants purchasers a mount in The Burning Crusade Classic expansion, a similar mount in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, a custom Dark Portal Hearthstone toy, and the Path of Illidan toy.
This bundle may also include a level boost, and 30 days of game time.

The Warp Stalker mount is a completely new, unique model that was not present in the original release of The Burning Crusade.

The Dark Portal toy looks to be another Hearthstone item, which lets you hearth while having a new, unique animation. It’s unclear if this will be available in The Burning Crusade Classic as the image clearly shows a player character with armor that is unavailable in that expansion.
The Path of Illidan toy grants players burning footprints as they walk around Azeroth and Outland. This looks to be included in The Burning Crusade Classic as the character using it in the datamined images from The Burning Crusade expansion.

Overall, this looks to be a huge deviation from WoW Classic’s initial goal of recreating the vanilla WoW experience. I’m sure many players will purchase this bundle, and the sweetening of the pot with the cross-game items and game time creates a tempting package, overall.

Wrapping Up
I think the bundle should only be available to retail. If players want to celebrate The Burning Crusade Classic launch with a Deluxe Edition, it should be with a retail WoW bundle rather than muddying the waters of what Classic’s goals are as a game experience.
