Fortnite unveiled their plans to add the enigmatic Batman Who Laughs to the roster in another DC-themed crossover.
What to Expect
Fortnite will continue its Batman crossover series this month in a new book titled “Batman/Fortnite: Foundation.” This new story will focus on The Foundation character, which we last saw at the end of Chapter 2: Season 8 story trailer and its interactions with Batman. Dcomics.com describes the new story as “Batman/Fortnite: Foundation #1 follows the successful and critically acclaimed Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point series where, upon arriving on the Fortnite Island, an amnesiac Batman battles unknown enemies and must use all his detective skills to solve the mystery of the Zero Point to find his way home.”
The new book will be available at local comic shops on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Unlike the previous “Zero Point” series, the Batman Who Laughs pack will be available in the Fortnite shop at 8 PM EST, the same night that the book releases.
Physical copies of the book will include a download code for the Batman Who Laughs bundle. It’s unclear whether the book will be plastic wrapped or not, so you may want to be at your local shop early if you’re planning on going the physical route.
With the “Zero Point” series, you could use DCComics and read the books on release date. This also awarded the same in-game items as the physical books. Currently, there is no information on whether or not “Batman/Fortnite: Foundation” will be available digitally and award the code.
Character Bundle Information
Those who purchase the book will get a code for the character, Robin’s Perch Back Bling, and exclusive loading screen. Those who choose to wait for the item shop update will be able to purchase a bundle including the character skin, the Back Bling, a harvesting tool, and a glider. The loading screen is exclusive to the physical comic code. Players who want the entire set will need to purchase the comic and grab the harvesting tool and glider from the shop.
Wrapping Up
We at DayOne are huge fans of crossover skins in Fortnite, and the Batman offerings have been fantastic. So, it’s needless to say that we’re incredibly excited for this bundle to add to our collections.
I thoroughly enjoyed the “Zero Point” series. I’ve also been making quite a few trips to my local shops these past few weeks, so I may even grab the physical book on release. Even if I don’t, however, I will be purchasing the bundle in the shop regardless.
