Recently leaked data files have provided tons of insight into Epics development plans leading into Fortnite’s Season 7 content and what is planned going past that.
Content Leaks
There were many data files leaked in the recent data files, and among there were lots of unfinished pieces of content.
This means that the content was planned at some point, but it falls into two categories now. These pieces of content are either yet to be released, or they have been scrapped entirely. So, try not to get your hopes too high when checking out this content.

A basketball mode as found in the leaked files.
In this mode, players are able to play basketball in either 1v1, 2v2, or 4v4 in Party Royale mode.
A sandbox Fortnite-esque mode was found in the data files where players would engage in a sandbox environment to play freely on the island. It’s worth noting that the data files indicate this would be noticeably different from the Save the World mode.
Gotham may return during season 6 based on what we saw in the recent Batman skin reveal as well.
Skin Leaks
Of the many leaked details, there were a decent amount of skins. They are as follows:
Naruto Uzamaki from the anime series Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden.
The NBA’s Lebron James
Nintendo’s legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran.
It’s worth noting that many of the leaks surrounding Samus point to her actually being planned during the bounty hunter season, making a lot of sense given the character’s background and lore.
Wrapping up
Samus would be great to see as a skin, but I’m pretty indifferent on the others, honestly.
Probably the most exciting leak would be the free roam game mode. I love Fortnite but I enjoy it so much, I’d love to be able to play it in a way other than strictly PVP.
We’ll see as time goes on how many of these ideas were indefinitely scrapped and how many of them will come to fruition.
