Minecraft releases its newest test content as “snapshot’s” before they release finalized updates. They can be a lot of fun and are a great way to try out the new content before it goes live in a major update.

Minecraft’s newest snapshot “21w03a” recently came out and has already given a lot of fun and new things to try out.

Setting up your Minecraft client to play the snapshot content is super easy and today we will go over step by step so you can do it too.

How to Set Pp Your Client

In the lower-left corner of the main client screen, you can see what version your client will run when you press “Play.” The default should be “Latest Release.” Once the snapshot is downloaded and set up, you will need to change this to the latest snapshot before pressing “Play”.

To get started, near the top, you should see the “Installations” tab. Make sure to have the “Snapshots” option checked under “VERSIONS.”

From there you will want to click on the “New…” option to add the latest snapshot jar as an option to choose from when launching Minecraft.

Now, you should be ready to play the newest snapshot content!

Wrapping Up
