The Stagbreaker is a powerful, unique, two-handed club weapon available for players to craft after a certain point in Valheim.
What is the Stagbreaker

Stagbreaker is a powerful, two-handed club weapon that players can craft once they defeat the first boss. For more on that, check out our article on tackling Eikthyr.
You may be able to craft this beforehand from harvesting deer components, but I didn’t notice it in my menu until I defeated Eikthyr. Let us know in the comments below what your experience has been with Stagbreaker’s availability within your crafting menus.
The unique club has a slow wind-up attack, but it strikes the ground, or whatever is in front of you, and does AOE damage to all enemies within range of the AOE. This strike is extremely effective for fighting groups, and I have found it especially effective when clearing out skeletons from Burial Chambers.
If you’re going purely for cosmetics in your world, this unique club is also great for looks. It’s a huge hammer covered in deer horns, and it is held differently than most other club-based weapons as well.
Beyond that, it is beneficial when trying to navigate the forest biomes as you begin to get swarmed by groups of Greylings and Greydwarves.
How to Craft Stagbreaker
Once you defeat Eikthyr, you should be able to see Stagbreaker available for crafting within your workbench’s crafting menu.
The club requires a level 2 workbench, 20 wood, 5 deer trophies, and 2 leather scraps. This is relatively easy to come by and cheap to make, considering how useful the weapon is.
The deer trophies are the most cumbersome to collect, but if you sneak and use a bow, you should have your 5 trophies in no time.
