What to Expect with Upcoming Content
Cold Iron Studios unveiled a sneak peek at what to expect with some of the upcoming content for Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
It’s no secret that there is post-launch content coming to Aliens: Fireteam Elite; the game launched with a content pass, after all. What is interesting, however, is what some of that content has been unveiled to be.
What we know for sure, so far, is that Cold Iron is focused on releasing at least four additional content packs as part of the season pass. Of course, we’re not 100% sure what all this entails, but we know that there are some new classes planned and perks, weapons, and cosmetics to go along with those classes.
AVPMarine over on Reddit posted some leaked files that were data mined in the game’s most recent version. These leaked files point to four new classes, one of which has already been confirmed by Cold Iron themselves. These three additional classes are the Torch class, Sharpshooter class, and the Haywire class. Based on the findings, it looks like the Torch class will focus on pyrotechnics-based skills, the Sharpshooter will be utilizing crossbows, so that will be an entirely new experience for the game, and the Haywire class will, likely, be some form of Engineer hybrid.
I’m really excited about the future plans for this game as I love the Alien franchise, and I think this game has had a tremendous amount of love poured into it (critics notwithstanding).
Personally, I hope to see some new maps added, some new Horde mode maps added, and maybe some additional enemy types, if that’s even a possibility for Cold Iron at this point.

As for the White and black armor featured on the banner of this article, some digging has revealed that this is currently a developer-only armor set, unfortunately.
