Hearth And Home Update

The first and long-awaited Hearth and Home content patch to the hit indie game, Valheim, finally has a release date!

What We Know So Far

Valheim’s Hearth and Home update will be hitting Steam on September 16th for fans to enjoy.

The first major content patch to the game will focus on new items to build for your base for the most part, as the name implies.

You can check out the official Steam post announcement from Iron Gate here.

Iron Gate has kept the content coming in this update pretty well hidden. It will certainly be exciting to discover everything once the update officially drops. However, they have teased a few things in the past months. So let’s show what we do know so far.

In their previous update, Iron Gate announced stackable gold coins as well as some new iron bars to go with your iron gate (get it?).

With the date announcement, we also got a teaser of two new items coming to the game. One is a wooden wolf head that can be added to your buildings to give them a bit of a Nordic feel.

The second item teased is a new furnace/stove. I would guess that this is some form of a new workbench, but there is no way to be certain. Even if it is just a cosmetic item, it will still spice up any home, especially those mountain bases.

Check out the official announcement trailer below from Iron Gate studios.

Wrapping Up

I am super excited to see all of the content coming in this update. I am sure a ton of Valheim fans will be starting the game back up again with their friends to explore everything new to the game.
